 The 2009 Live Oak Lady Eagles are doing it again!  Both the Junior Varsity and Varsity softball teams are off to a great start this season.  The Lady Eagles have played in several tournaments thus far this season and have come out with winning records.  The Lady Eagles also lead winning records also in regular scheduled games.  The Live Oak Lady Eagles will be in action at home on March 10 and March 12 at the Live Oak ballpark.  Good Luck to the Lady Eagles throughout their journey towards a 4A title!!  Congratulations coach Morris and the entire JV and Varsity teams!! rest of the 2009 season.

Enjoy a magical evening with ”Storybook Ball” coming to Baton Rouge this weekend March 14,2009.  The Family Road of greater Baton Rouge will feature the first “Storybook Ball”.  Step inside 12 lifesize storybooks that include  a childrens activity at each book.  Sets are being created by LSU School of Art.  It will be held at the newest, fully functional Hollywood movie studio in Baton Rouge, Celtic Studios.  Bring your children, grandchildren, and friends for a fun evening benefiting Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge, a nonprofit organization serving Baton Rouge families.  See the Press Release and get all the details about the First Annual Storybook Ball.   The Louisiana Stixx 12 under baseball team is holding a Barbeque fundraiser this Saturday March 7, 2009 at Oak Point Shopping Center in Watson.  The Louisiana Stixx is from the Watson area and coached by Brian Claverie.  The tickets are $5 per plate and will be served from 11am to 1pm this Saturday.  The plate will consist of Rice Dressing, Baked Beans, and Barbeque Chicken with your choice of White or Dark meat. All proceeds will be geared towards the team needs and tournament entry fees.  Come out and support the Louisiana Stixx and enjoy a great barbeque lunch!!!
